Karen Sherman, LSW, JD


Karen L. Sherman - J.D., L.S.W., has been practicing exclusively in the area of SSDI and SSI benefits law for nearly 30 years.  She holds a B.A. from Marquette University (1984), J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law (1987) and M.A. from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration (2019).  She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association Social Security Law Committee (Past Chair 2003-2004), the Chicago Bar Association Mental Health and Disability Law Committee, the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, and the National Association of Social Workers.  She has several years of experience presenting on topics related to Social Security Law.
